Vending Machine Weight Loss

Who This Is For (And Who It Isn't)
If you want to lose five pounds before a vacation, you don't need me. Here's who does.
I want to be honest about something most physicians won't say out loud: not everyone needs to come to my office.
If you want to drop five pounds before a beach trip and you're fine with putting it back on afterward — there are over-the-counter options that will probably get you there. There are quick programs, short-term plans, seasonal fixes. They exist. They work for a certain kind of goal.
That's not what I do.
Two Different Goals
There are two types of people who think about weight loss.
The first type wants to look better for a specific event, season, or situation. They want results by a date. They're not necessarily trying to change their life — they're trying to change how they look in a photo. When the event passes, the urgency fades. The weight comes back. They'll probably think about it again next summer.
There's nothing wrong with this. But a prescription pad and three months of medication is sufficient for that goal. You don't need a real conversation. You don't need to unlearn anything. You just need a short-term intervention.
The second type is tired of cycling through this. They've lost weight before and gained it back. They've done the programs. They've tried the pills. They're not looking for another thing to try — they're looking for an actual answer. They want to understand what's been going wrong and fix it permanently. They want to get to a weight they can maintain for the rest of their life without being tethered to a program or a subscription or a seasonal motivation.
That's who this is for.
What "Permanent" Requires
Taking control of your weight for the rest of your life means understanding your body well enough to make the right decisions without needing me in the room.
It means knowing which foods work against you and why. It means understanding what hunger is actually telling you. It means having the knowledge to navigate a menu, a holiday, a stressful month — and come out the other side without undoing months of progress.
That takes longer than three months. It takes a real conversation. And it produces something that a seasonal quick fix never will: a result you don't have to repeat.
If that's what you're looking for, this is where to start.
